Stars of Tomorrow: Maisonette 1977

After working for 10 years with designers such as Michael Kors, Theory, Yigal Azrouel and Cynthia Steffe, Jane Ibrahim, launched her first collection in New York, far from her native Hong Kong. The name Maisonette 1977 was born in her search of a home far from it, “Maisonette” meaning “Little house” and 1977 the year Jane Ibrahim was born. Very cute meaning isn’t it?

The woman who wears Maisonette 1977 is innovative and expressive with a style that is ultra glamorous but also unexpected and fun. Jane’s design skills coupled with her impeccable taste always result in a collection that is modern, exciting, edgy, and elegant.

Her latest collection is a perfect example of her style. In two words: feminine yet edgy. What we love the most about her designs is that her pieces are very versatile and perfect for a day to night look, and for mixing and matching. The collection can be styled in so many different ways, there are endless options for all type of styles.

Here is an example:

1. The blue cropped suit with the black and white button down shirt (One of the must-have items of the collection)

2. The Jacket with the pants, the green skirt with the blouse

3. The Printed button down shirt with the skirt.
