Last night Gabby and I went to the event organized by Bloomingdale’s fashion director Stephanie Solomon and Vogue Market Stylist Anne Vincent to discuss the Spring trends.
The fashion show was divided into 5 different mini collections to showcase the trends for the season, “Color Blocking”, “We’re Mad About Neon”, “20′s Moment”, “Print Explosion”, “Long for Day, Right for Night”.
The trends overlapped during the whole show. Neon Colors specially Yellow, Fluorescent Green, and Orange took the runway on their own. Don’t be scared to wear neon, well combined they won’t make you look like the 80′s.
We were happy to see color, remember that colors make u look better and feel better. Mix it with white rather than with black. We saw a couple of Diane Von Fusternberg no brainer dresses perfect to stand out in the office.
Making tribute to the 20′s, a feather dress by Sue Wong (shown in the gallery below) was showcased. You can’t go wrong with feathers, personally I’m a fan of feathers, so I couldn’t be happier when I saw feathers for spring.
Prints were also a big trend for spring. Prints are difficult to match so if we can give you a valuable advice, take a color from the print and use it for the accessories or use a neutral color like nude to neutralize your look if prints and colors are a little bit to much for your style
Remember Color is the message for spring!! and every length is right for this season!!
